Moving with a rented van almost always works out cheaper than a removals firm, provided you have an extra pair of hands and a bit of planning. The thing to get right is the size: a van that is too small forces three trips instead of one, and the saving disappears.
Our panel vans are enclosed, with a protected load floor, a sliding side door and lashing points. They arrive clean and empty — you won’t be clearing out the load space before you start.
What size van do I need?
As a working rule for Attica flats: a studio or small one-bedroom fits in a five-cubic-metre van, usually over two runs. A fully furnished one or two-bedroom needs the ten-cubic-metre high-roof van. If you have bulky single items — a three-seat sofa, a tall fridge-freezer — measure them separately and tell us the dimensions. It’s the height of the loading door that decides whether they go in.
Panel vans
Choose on volume, not on the daily rate. One trip fewer is worth more than a small difference in hire cost.

What to sort out on moving day
Parking at both ends
In Piraeus and western Attica the hard part isn’t the drive, it’s where the van will stand while you load. Secure a space early in the morning at both addresses. Central streets may require a pavement occupation permit from the municipality — apply at least a few days ahead. Our driving and parking guide covers the local traffic patterns.
Load in the right order
Heavy, flat items — washing machines, chests of drawers — go in first, hard against the bulkhead. Light and bulky goes on top. Anything fragile goes last and gets strapped. A van loaded properly holds noticeably more than one filled at random.
Insuring the load
The vehicle insurance covers the vehicle, not your belongings. If you’re moving anything of high value, tell us beforehand so we can point you to the right cover before the hire starts.
Frequently asked
An eight-cubic-metre van usually covers a fully furnished one-bedroom in one or two runs. If you have few furnishings, the five-cubic-metre van is enough.
No. Every panel van in our fleet is under 3.5 tonnes gross and can be driven on an ordinary category B licence.
Charging starts at one day, though you're welcome to return it earlier. For moves within Attica one day generally covers all the runs.
We provide the vehicle, the straps and the advice, not removal staff. If you need a crew, we can point you to partners working in the Piraeus area.
Ordinary dust and soil aren't charged for. We only ask that you don't carry anything that leaves permanent marks — paint or chemicals — without telling us first.

Tell us what you're moving, from where to where, and on what date. We'll recommend the right size and quote you a final price.
