Complete 2026 Guide

5 min readUpdated: March 2026

Piraeus Port is Europe's largest passenger port and the main hub for ferries to the Greek islands. Every year, millions of passengers disembark here looking for the fastest way to reach their destination. Renting a car directly at the port is the most convenient option — if you know how to do it right.

Step-by-Step: Collecting Your Car at the Port

01

Book your vehicle

Contact GetCarPiraeus by phone, WhatsApp or email. Provide your ferry name, gate number (E1-E12) and estimated arrival time. Booking takes 2 minutes.

02

Receive confirmation

You will receive a booking confirmation with your representative's contact details, exact meeting point near your gate, and a direct number for arrival day.

03

Disembark — send a WhatsApp

As soon as you disembark, send a quick WhatsApp to confirm. Our representative monitors ferry arrivals in real time and will be waiting with a name sign at your gate exit.

04

Sign, collect keys and drive

Sign the rental agreement, present your driving licence and ID, and collect the keys. The process takes around 5-10 minutes. Your car is clean, full of fuel and parked right next to the gate.
